I don't like most new things. I am afraid of them. It has been said by some (okay maybe just me) that new things are out to get me. I love ALL things I am used to including the things I am used to not liking! It's not that I won't try new, different or exciting things, but it certainly means that these new different or exciting adventures are most often planned in advance and practiced. A few weeks ago on my Weekly Chase Post, I vowed to try new things EVERY DAY!!! After that trauma inducing week, I decided maybe just ONE day a week would be a better way to ease into new
Today was Thursday (okay, okay Yesterday was Thursday) and I thought... hey why not try something new since it sounds catchy and the week IS almost over. So I went ahead and did the craziest thing! I TRIED A NEW THING ON THURSDAY!!! Even more bizarre, I loved it! :)Let me tell you...
As you may already know, I am running in the Reach the Beach relay in October. On our journey to two vans, 12 runners, and 200 miles, we have been very fortunate to have been able to partner with some terrific companies who would love to help us succeed. One of the products I have been most excited about is the Aspaeris Pivot Short. Aspaeris Pivot Shorts™ are actually two pairs of shorts bonded together. The Outer Short is a high performance compression short designed to support your muscles. The Inner Short features our breakthrough, Dual Sensory Compression Bands™. They came highly recommended by our team co- captain, Jamie from Chouch2Ironwoman.
I wore them today to do my speed work and it was LOVE at first err... well.... wear!!! In fact, I wore them around the house for quite a bit after I finished up my running as well. There are so many things about this short that I loved...
1. Even though it looked insanely small they fit perfectly! I have heard from others that they ride a bit lower than they are used to but I am short waisted and long legged so these felt perfect to me.
2. They wicked moisture so well that even though my shirt was soaked through, my legs were dry and didn't feel sticky at all.
3. They were exactly the right length and I did not slip at all on my legs. I can't remember one instance of awkward tugging this way or that or stretching the fabric down on my thighs during my run.
4. Probably not the most important piece of information but my butt looked tiny in them! Not an easy task for any garment but especially for a garment that, out of the package, looks to be a toddler size 2!
| If you were expecting a picture of my backside, you must be out of your mind! |
So there you have it folks... It almost hurts to admit it but I didn't like the change, I LOVED IT!!! I still have plenty of time to train for the relay and my two half marathons coming up and these shorts will most surely be my frequent training buddy. I am already planning to invest in a few more pair (have I mentioned my genuine hatred for laundry).
Although I was given this product to review at no charge, all opinions, as always, are all my own and based solely on my experiences with the product.
Question: Have you tried something new this week? How did it work out??

Another reason why I love the Blog Hop...I find useful stuff like this! I am SO glad I came here. I have been training for the Rock N Roll half marathon (still 6 months away) and have been looking for something that doesn't slip and slide! I'm looking these up on line now!

I found you on the bloghop, but have heard about you from Holly over at running & baking for a while. As I was reading this post, I was literally saying OMG this girl is me! I hate change, unless I am the one who impliments it, I have to practice everything ahead of time too, and I know I eventually will be ok with the new stuff, but it just takes me a while to get there! And I thought I was the only one.... Maybe there are more out there like us!
