A few months ago, my Friend
Colleen (who is not just a blogger friend but an actual person I know in real life) told me all about this amazing package she received by participating in the
Foodie Pen Pals proram and I was blown away. It sounded like a ton of fun and it involved free food so of course I got very excited about it and went about finding out the details. It's simple really! You fill out a short form and
Lindsay does all the really hard work. Participants from both Canada, the UK and the USA are matched with a blogger or reader and the fun begins. On the 5th of the month, you receive notification of who you are to contact and you find out their likes, dislikes and dietary restrictions. There is a spending restriction of $15 and you are required to ship the package by the 15th of the month. On the last day of the month you reveal to your readers what your pen pal sent for you to enjoy. How easy and fun is that??? If your mouth is watering, you should sign up immediately for next month.
I have been waiting for this day for two whole weeks!!! I received a package this month from a terrific woman name Jessica who really took everything I told her about myself and set out to find specific items she knew I would love! I am so incredibly impressed with the items she sent as well as the consideration and thought she put it to these items. The ones I have tried have been amazing and the ones that I haven't gotten to yet I have been anticipating with great excitement. Let me tell you about these items...
| My box was overflowing! |
| I immediately brought this to work as an emergency plan for a day I forgot my lunch or snack and it definitely came in handy! |
| We have been traveling for picnics on Sundays for the past few weeks and so I've held off on making these until we will all be home to enjoy them together but I can't wait as I love breakfast foods!!! |
| It's like grown up fruit roll ups without the excessive sugar |
| I am such a soup person. If I could choose any meal it would be my Mom's chicken soup so this was right up my alley. I'm looking forward to making this very soon. |
| This flower pepper has become a staple at my dinner table! Since we don't have a Trader Joe's around here yet I'm not sure how we will get more :) |
| Anyone that know me is well aware of my caffiene addiction and I love that Jessica sent me a local coffee so I could experience a piece of her world! |
| I added these bad boys to a chicken salad I made today and they were so amazing and yummy! |
This was such a yummy way to start my Sunday morning on the go this week. I may be addicted to them!

Hey lady! I was just coming to tell you that I nominated you for an award on my site. You don't have to do it, no hard feelings, I know these things take up a lot of time. http://thechocolatemile.com/2012/08/and-the-winner-is/
