Weekly Chase: I'm calling a do-over!

Have you ever had one of those weeks...  One where not a whole lot went according to plan?  This week was one of those in our house.  Let me review last week for you quickly so we can move forward!

GOAL 1:  Make it to the new gym twice this week!  This didn't happen.  No excuses, no explanations.  I did not make this happen!

GOAL 2:  I will run twice in one day once this week!! Although I did not run twice in one day, I did hit the gym the morning of my long run which certainly gave me one pair of tired legs to run on.  I did not do a whole lot of mileage like I had originally planned for this week.  I have been experiencing a bunch of pain related to my SI joint and have had to seek the help of my chiropractor to start feeling human again.

Goal 3:  Maintain my evening routine for success in the morning and figure out a way to make it feel more natural. I was better this week than last in terms of setting out my clothes.  I was terrible about leaving the house with lunch and eating breakfast before I left for the day.

I know I've said this before but I'm not perfect.  I have my good moments and my bad.  I truly think that it is imperative to  start what you finish and so here I am at a familiar place.  This week's goals are the same as last.  I really thought long and hard about scratching these and starting over with a fresh slate but I got the better of myself.  The purpose of the Weekly chase, at least for me, is to build on the goals I set and continue to push forward towards the bigger goals I have.

Question:  What did you want to do last week and not accomplish?  Will you give it another go or will you move on and set another goal?

  1. Yep, do over. Good on you for having a retry. I didn't even set goals this week! I have complete faith that this week will be a bit better for you.

My goal is...let me get back to you.

  2. We all need do-over! I planned last week to create a study plan for the CPA exam. I keep putting this off. I need to believe it is more important to me. It really is, or should be!

I came up with a plan (to have a plan), but just can't commit.

Good luck this week with your goals!

  3. I'm cheering for you! Great goals.

I find I often set myself up for failure by expecting too much of myself. So, I've started making more realistic lists. :)

  4. Go to Yoga, I didn't go. I paid for is this week with stiffness.
