I have nothing to wear and other assorted summer wedding issues!!

I love the summer!  It means we spend most Sundays on the boat, we grill almost every night for dinner and I'm almost always in a good mood :)  I love being outside, the golden glow of my tanned skin and wearing shorts and summer dresses.  But with all of these things that I love, it also brings something that causes me turmoil....  it brings THE SUMMER WEDDING!

Please don't misunderstand.  I LOVE weddings!  I love the hope and promise the new couple shares.  I adore the rare times that family and friends are all in the same room for a happy occasion.  I especially love the open bar and the food!  What causes me so much angst is the 'What to Wear' conundrum....  I mean summer leans more towards the casual air but what if the wedding is at night?  What if it's at night but on the beach?  What if it's in the afternoon on a weekday?  Winter weddings never impose this level of stress over what I am going to wear.

This brings me to my current dilemma:  I have no idea what I should wear.  The good news is I have some fantastic accessories that I can wear with either of my 2 options.  I LOVE them.  If it was approprate, I'd just wear the necklace, bracelet and hair clasp but I think Rob would be upset and I'm sure the Bride and Groom would die!  That said, I have decided that someone else should decide.  Therefore, I am putting this in your hands.  Both outfits have been approved by the bride so I really just have to make a decision and I CAN'T!!!

So Please leave a comment telling me which outfit you think is perfect.  The wedding is this Friday at 4PM and both the ceremony and the reception are being held at a lovely golf club about 30 minutes from home.  The forecast is  for 75 degrees and a 40% chance of rain.  No worries about being rained out since this is an indoor/outdoor venue :)

classic black and nude???
fun and flirty cream and blue???

There you have it folks... these are my top options!  Tell me what you think!!!

  16. Hi, I guess it's a little late to say which one I like better since I'm sure you've already picked by now, but I like the black one. I'm kind of biased though because I pretty much always wear black dresses to weddings. Wear whichever one makes you feel prettier! :)
Great blog. I found you at TGIF Blog Hop. Have fun at the wedding! :)
